3 - 6 November 2015, Aquatech Amsterdam, the Netherlands

The 25th edition of Aquatech Amsterdam was a major success attracting 750+ exhibitors and some 18,500 international visitors. Optiqua was pleased to welcome a great number of interested visitors at our booth, where our latest products, including our EventLab 2.0 which was launched at the Aquatech 2015, were on display.




WATEC Israel is a biennial exhibition taking place over three days at the Israel TLV Convention Center. At the 2015 Watec conference Optiqua Technologies presented in the Conference programme, Parallel Session 12: Assuring Water Quality and Security: New Approaches in Online Monitoring (Part II). For the last five consecutive years, the SWAN Annual Conference has attracted some of the industry's leading decision-makers, with a host of keynote speakers, panelists and presenters in the smart water sector. In the 2015 event Optiqua took part in the water quality panel.

October 26 - 29, 2014: Water Infrastructure Conference

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

This conference addressed essential water infrastructure planning and reinvestment strategies that utilities need to incorporate now. Critical infrastructure protection through comprehensive emergency preparedness efforts and enhanced security measures will also be covered.


Optiqua presented case studies of EventLab deployment in drinking water distribution networks in the TUE11 session on Water System Management for Reliability.

The 6th Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) took place in June of 2014. The SIWW attracted more delegates than ever, with decision makers from across the entire water value chain congregating in Singapore, allowing the global water industry to collaborate on new market opportunities. The highlights of SIWW include the Water Convention, Water Leaders Summit, Water Expo and Business Forums.


Optiqua would like to thank all the interested delegates that visited our booth at the Water Expo and who attended the presentation of results with EventLab in the Vitens Innovation Playground at the Water Convention. March 2014, World Water-Tech Investment Summit, London, U.K.

With 200 attendees from 25 international markets, the World Water-Tech Investment Summit brought together the most innovative thinkers and operators in the global water industry. This year’s agenda was focused on partnership, collaboration and innovation, with stakeholders sharing ideas on the most successful models for taking advanced technologies to market.

April 2013, Wasser Berlin 2013: State-of-the-art water technology in Netherlands pavilion
Optiqua was one of many Dutch water technology companies and research institutes that jointly presented their state-of-the-art solutions in the Netherlands pavilion (hall 3.2 315) at Wasser Berlin 2013 from April 23-26.




July 2011: Optiqua and NTU formally kick off partnership at Singapore International Water Week
Optiqua Technologies Pte Ltd is collaborating with Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to tap on its expertise in biomolecular sciences and sensor technology, supporting the biochemistry R&D for specific target applications on Optiqua's sensor platform. The collaboration, which includes a dedicated Optiqua Lab set up at NTU's Centre for Biomimetic Sensor Science and was announced in February 2011, had its official kick off at the Singapore International Water Week 2011 with the formal signing of the Research Collaboration Agreement.

Following Singapore International Water Week 2010, Optiqua Technologies was featured on MediaCorp Channel 8 news in Singapore.

July 2010: Optiqua signs three MOUs at SIWW 2010
During the Singapore International Water Week 2010, Optiqua Technologies Pte Ltd signed a memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with its three major international partners PUB, Vitens and Schneider Electric. The MOUs were signed on 1st July during a joint press conference of all four parties at Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Center in Singapore. Optiqua, PUB and Vitens, announced their collaborative agreements for the development of Optiqua's real time sensor technology. Optiqua and Schneider Electric jointly annouced a technology partnership which aims to develop in partnership a unique solution that enables round-the-clock monitoring of water quality.

July 2010: Netherlands Water House officially opened
At Singapore International Water Week 2010, the Netherlands Water House was officially opened. The NWH, as a representative office of the Netherlands Water Partnership, clusters Dutch water sector activities in Singapore and the other ASEAN-countries, and is a single point of contact for the region. Its main focus is on bringing potential partners together from the private sector, the public sector, research and knowledge institutes and from various national platforms for cooperation, collaboration or exchange, to solve the challenges we face in today’s world. Mr Melchior van Wijlen (4th from right), managing director of Optiqua Technologies and member of the NWH board, was present at the opening. Optiqua Technologies is one of the founding supporters of the NWH.

January 2010: Optiqua receives the 2009 Asia Pacific Frost & Sullivan New Product Innovation Award
Optiqua Technologies Pte Ltd has been awarded the 2009 Asia Pacific New Product Innovation Award by Growth Partnership Company Frost & Sullivan for its water contamination detection and sensing technologies. Research analysts at Frost & Sullivan evaluated Optiqua Technologies’ superior performance against key competitors on a range of criteria, including the innovative qualities of Optiqua’s technology platform and added value to its customers.

January 2010: Optiqua introduces new online version of EventLab™
The new online version of Optiqua EventLab™ is part of extensive test programs in collaboration with Optiqua’s launching customers, in preparation of the full scale market launch.

October 2009: Optiqua at Netherlands-Singapore Water Innovation Forum
Melchior van Wijlen, MD Optiqua, was one of the speakers at the Water Innovation Forum, organised as part of the visit of the Dutch Innovation Platform (chaired by Dutch Prime Minister Balkenende) to Singapore.

September 2009: Optiqua moves to its new Research Centre at Waterhub
The new Optiqua Research Centre is located at national water agency PUB's WaterHub, providing access to a high profile community of water technology R&D organisations. The new facilities support Optiqua's plans for further expanding its research and product development activities.

June 2009: Optiqua participates in SIWW 2009
During SIWW 2009, Optiqua introduced the stand-alone bench top version of Optiqua EventLab™ to the international water industry, attracting substantial attention and media coverage.

May 2009: EDB grants Optiqua subsidy grant
The Economic Development Board of Singapore awarded Optiqua with a grant under the innovation Development Scheme. The grant supports the R&D activities of Optiqua in Singapore and is a recognition of the valuable contribution Optiqua brings to the water technology sector in Singapore.

June 2008: Optiqua participates in SIWW 2008
At the first Singapore International Water Week 2008, Optiqua signs an agreement with PUB for a joint collaboration on sensor technology, involving a series of test programs and an active role of PUB as a potential customer.
