eThekwini Municipality

eThekwini Municipality (which includes the city of Durban) is the third largest city in South Africa. It is a sophisticated cosmopolitan city of over 3.4 million people and is the home of Africa's best-managed, busiest port and is also a major centre of tourism because of the city's warm subtropical climate and extensive beaches.

eThekwini has the ambition to be "by 2030 Africa's most caring and liveable City, where all citizens live in harmony". An integral part of this ambition is a road map to a smart city. eThekwini Water and Sanitation (EWS) is responsible for filling in the Smart Water Grid Chapter of this road map.

Las Vegas Valley Water District

Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) started providing water to the Las Vegas Valley in 1954. We helped build the city's water delivery system and now provide water to more than 1 million people in Southern Nevada. LVVWD is a member agency of the Southern Nevada Water Authority.

LVVWD's goal is to provide a reliable water supply that meets or exceeds the standards of the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. In addition to meeting federal and state standards, we also strive to keep you informed about water quality and the water issues that affect you.

Public Utilities Board

PUB is a statutory board under the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources. It is the water agency that manages Singapore’s water supply, water catchment and sewerage in an integrated way. PUB won the 2007 Stockholm Industry Water Award and was named Water Agency of the Year at the Global Water Awards 2006.

PUB's motto is "Water for All: Conserve, Value, Enjoy." PUB has ensured a diversified and sustainable supply of water for Singapore with the Four National Taps (local catchment water, imported water, NEWater, desalinated water).

To provide water for all, PUB calls on all Singaporeans to play their part to conserve water, keep the water catchments and waterways clean and build a relationship with water so they can enjoy their water resources. That way there is enough water for all uses – for industry, for living, for life.

Suez Environnement

Is a France-based utility company which operates largely in the water distribution and wastewater treatment industries, and in the waste management industry. The company has its head office in the 8th arrondissement of Paris and the group helps provide 97 million people with drinking water and 66 million people benefit from its sanitation services.

The water business expertise of Suez Environnement and its subsidiaries is recognised world-wide. Thanks to its mastery of the entire water cycle, the group provides innovative solutions to millions of individual and industrial customers. The company organises its activities around a number of themes, the provision of water to those without access, the distribution of water from alternative sources. To enable as many people as possible to access quality water.

Inspections make it possible to continuously monitor the microbiological quality of water, a major challenge in the safety and preservation of water resource quality. We have developed new analysis techniques based on molecular biology that can detect viruses, bacteria or parasites in water very quickly.
